Sisters Launch Company with a Nova Twist

Villanova pride runs in the family for the Reed sisters, three Villanova alumnae who started their own business selling custom cell phone, tablet, and laptop cases and skins. The company, turquoise., has recently expanded its artwork to feature licensed Villanova designs. The sisters believe that their time at Villanova had a tremendous impact on the company’s founding.Melissa ’06 VSB, was a Bartley Medallion recipient and graduated with a degree in Finance and a minor in Psychology. Ashley ’08, ’13 CLAS has her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Mathematics, with a Business minor from her undergraduate years. Courtney ’10 CLAS graduated with degrees in Communication and Education. Additionally, Courtney discovered her artistic talent during her time at Villanova and pursued that interest in graduate school at Kutztown University.Courtney creates the Villanova designs from her original photography and paintings. They are unique designs that capture the spirit of Villanova, and include iconic campus images like the St. Thomas of Villanova Church, Connelly Center, Oreo, and Pavilion. “Because of our passion and strong allegiance to Villanova, we only saw it fitting to create designs for our alma mater,” the sisters said.  With these designs, the Reed sisters hope to express their own love of Villanova and bring to life what it means to be a part of the Villanova community. They are also giving back by donating a portion of each sale to the Villanova Annual Fund Scholarship.  ”As three Villanova alumnae, we are grateful for the education and our growth as individuals during our time at Villanova. We feel that giving back to the Villanova Annual Fund is the best way to help other students experience the greatness of Villanova,” the sisters explained.
